Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom is the second smallest Disney World theme park but probably the favorite of every family. There are more things to see and do than the other parks, so put on your walking shoes, you will not become bored, just tired trying to fit in all your favorite rides and attractions.

The Magic Kingdom is divided into five distinct lands, arranged in a spoke-like formation around the crown jewel of the Magic Kingdom – Cinderella’s Castle. The five lands consist of Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Each of these lands are themed appropriately to their title from the rides to the costumes the castmembers wear. Maintaining each theme is important to the atmosphere and operation of the park but you will also find that they flow together seamlessly which adds to the enchantment of the park.

Upon entering Disney World you will be on Main Street USA. You will feel like you have stepped back in time to a by-gone era of quaint shops themed in a Victorian style. Hop on board the train and take it to one of the three stations, Main Street USA, Frontierland Station or Fantasyland Station. You will love the themes and changes each station brings as well as just riding the train between stations or around the park.

Small children (and the big kids also) will enjoy the newly refurbished Fantasyland Station with a circus flair. Give the kids time to splash and play at Casey Jr. Splash and Soak Zone as well as shopping at the Big Top Souvenirs.

Make time to walk through the newly constructed Fantasyland areas including Ariel’s Grotto, Story Time with Belle as well as the classic rides in Fantasyland we all know and love.

Tomorrowland offers many of the traditional rides like the Tomorrowland Speedway and Space Mountain, everyone’s favorite indoor coaster.

Frontierland will thrill you with the Big Thunder Mountain Railway and Splash Mountain not to mention the other rides you remember from your childhood you want to experience with your children.

Remember, Cinderella’s Castle is at the heart of the park and a great place to meet up with others in your party as well as enjoying the parades and Castle shows throughout the day and evening.

> Stop into the Mainstreet USA to sign up for “The Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom” an interactive game you can play or just collect cards for each member in your party each day you are at the park. Also try your hand at the new interactive game A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas. Both are set around a scavenger hunt style for your fun in finding things in the park. Warning – “may become addictive”.
